How hard is it to get a hunting rifle in California?

I was just wondering because I live in Southern Oregon and I saw a sign at a Bi-mart that said they can't sell guns to california residents under California law?How hard is it to get a hunting rifle in California?
its not hard at all, except for the cruel and unusual part about the10 day waiting period. And a whole list of stuff I can't get on my rifle because its ';evil';.

Heck, I bought two rifles today, one old .22LR rifle from Germany and the other a brand new H%26amp;R rifle in .500S%26amp;W (because I wanted a cannon).

the process on filling out the ATF 4473 is the same, background check,up until the 10 day waiting period part and then the CA law that requires a gun lock. How hard is it to get a hunting rifle in California?
It's not hard. It's the federal requirements plus a 10 day waiting period along with a $25 state fee. Also I think you are required to purchase a lock with it if it doesn't come with it.

Handguns are the same, but involve a safety certificate test as well.
Not difficult. Fill out paperwork, give thumb print, pay, wait 10 days, pickup rifle.

Then vote out socialist government...
This site covers it pretty well under the ';Purchase'; section:

It's not hard, it just takes time; you have to watch a safety video, take a written safety test, then there's a 2 week waiting period.
Kalifornia is total against guns yet crime is so high like LA.

Most dealers and Internet sites won't sell to KA residents.

Like above answer you have to jump some hoops.
well looks to me like in the People's Republick of Kalifornistan it is almost impossible to own one if you are not a California resident
