How would you go about Hunting a Polar bear?

There is an island near the north pole where hunting polar bears is legal. I heard from somewhere that you have to pay 50 dollars for a permit, and you can only shoot 1, but is that all you have to do? Would you need your own transportation? Are there any legal issues involved? How would you go about Hunting a Polar bear?
http://fordinfo.com/fredwebb/ if you are serious contact these people. I successfully hunted polar bear and musk ox with Fred's people in 1999. I can attest to the fact he runs a first class operation.

The fifty dollars is just the tip of the iceberg as far as cost is concerned.

LOL...iceberg, polar bear...get it?

It's more like fork over tens of thousands of dollars to an outfitter in Canada for the chance to shoot one. You can't hunt without a guide in the Territories. And then leave the hide and meat with him because the US has banned their import.

I don't know about Greenland though

It is on par with going to Africa to hunt elephants in terms of costs and hassle.
My uncle did this some years ago.

It's not $50 bucks - it's more like $10,000 for the tag. You have to pay your own way to the hunting site, and it's required you hire a guide if you are a non resident of Canada.

Thanks to idiots in Washington - you cannot bring the hide or skull back to the USA as of this year. In 1970's there used to be 5,000 polar bears - now there are 25,000. How does a growing population make it on the endangered species list?????

Hope this helps
How to catch a polar bear : First, you need a can of peas, then you go out in the ice and cut a big hole in it, then you put peas all around the hole.........Then, when the bear comes out to take a pea, you kick him in the ice hole !....................LOL !!!!!
Spend 10 grand plus.

or

Plan an illegal visit to a local zoo.

Those are the two ways I can think of to go about Hunting a polar bear, both seem like bad ideas to me.
Tape a baby seal to your *** and crawl around in the snow.
The Polar Bear is becoming an endangered species, why would you want to help rid the world of such a Beautiful animal, I bet you'd get more out of that bear if you trapped it and let it run free in your home, wouldn't that be exciting,

compared to shooting it from a half mile away from the inside of a bear proof vehicle,

There a point where we have to say enough is enough and the Polar Bears at that point.
