What is the most effective job hunting strategy?

I am a PhD graduates in Finance who is graduated from top 5 university in the UK. I would like to work in Finance/Management/Accounting/Research/N鈥?industries. What is the most effective job hunting strategy? What is the most effective job hunting strategy?
Job hunt all week and make sure you have fun to do at the weekend.

Job hunt like it is your job, if you get me. Get up on time, do the job of job hunting (plenty of things to do like make a good CV for each company), finish at a set time, water plants, cook food, eat, relax, walk the dog (or someone elses for a small fee)... What is the most effective job hunting strategy?
1) Hire a ';head hunter'; who, for a fee, will look for jobs for you. He has good networking system already. He knows which company will be in need of your services.

2) Submit your resume or bio-data on ';on line'; job centers. Then, you just wait until someone is interested in you.
Ask everyone who employs the position you want to give you a job. There are heaps of jobs available - the only reason you don't have the one you want, is that you have not told enough people yet.
