How do I stop burs from sticking to a hunting dog?

I have a Springer Spaniel that my husband hunts with. I don't really want to shave her with winter coming but she loves pheasant hunting. Is there any way to prevent burs and stickers from sticking into her fur?How do I stop burs from sticking to a hunting dog?
Yes, there are several ways to defeat the burs. Been there, done that, at AKC hunting tests with Gordan setters. Go to a tack or horse shop.

Look for a silicone cream or spray to put on manes %26amp; tails. It also prevents tangles, and stuff getting caught in it. Once applied to the dog, it will feel/look a bit oily, but it works great. I suggest you wash it out, after wards.

';Vetrolin Shine'; is a detangler with silicone to prevent burs, tangles, breakage, etc. http://www.farnamhorse.com/brochures/Vet鈥?/a>

The ONLY help (there's no cure) is PAM SPRAY!!!

The plain, of course!

YES....been there %26amp; DONE that %26amp; tried lots of different products.

Helps most....keeps some sticking %26amp; the rest easier to COMB out.

Stand her up on hind legs %26amp; spray underneath liberally. Ears too,of course.
I wish I had a a springer spaniel.
Make your husband pick them out--its what my wife does to me when I take them out hunting.
No. You have to get them out one by one every time she comes home.
